Welcome

to

The Quilted Moose!

To market, to market to buy a fat pig....

Okay, maybe not a fat pig, but Deb's on her way to market and she's sure to come home with a fat suitcase!

So, while the boss is away, those of us Mooseketeers left in town will play and take a day off. The Quilted Moose will be closed on Saturday, May 19 so that we can join Deb at Quilt Market. So, plan to come in soon to see what we brought home!!!

It's the day after Easter. We're all coming down from our sugar-induced highs and trying to find ways to use up all those marshmallow Peeps that are going to be laying around the house forever. From those of us who love them we do have a few tips on their usage and care:

- They do freeze well.

- They do not work well being skewered and roasted over the logs in the fireplace.

- If you take the chickens and put toothpicks in their hands, then microwave them you can watch them have swordfights.

- They will NEVER die or spoil.

Have you ever wondered why they sell so many Peeps when you can't find anyone that will admit that they actually like them? It's just another one of life's mysteries.

Okay, back to quilting. Since our next holiday is not until for another 6 weeks or so, we've got a few things planned to keep you busy until then!

First of all, Mooseketeers is scheduled April 28th and 30th to spotlight our latest projects for summer. As always, for $5.00 you can see in quilt projects using the latest and greatest techniques. Sessions are scheduled for Saturday, April 28th at 9:00 am and Monday, April 30th at 10:00 am. Call today to reserve your spot - it's always a great time and lots of fun.

Our yearly bus trip is on! We've joined with 12 other shops for the Golden Ticket Bus Tour running May 4th, 5th, and 6th. There are still seats available, but they are going fast. So get your seat now so your friends don't have to watch you in the rearview mirror! More information below. With each paid reservation at $229.00 you will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Quilted Moose.

And last but not least, always it's always a good time to stop in at the store and check out what's new. Lost of new books and patterns are arriving in the store daily. We'd love to see you!

Golden Ticket Bus Tour

We are joining with eleven other shops to present the Golden Ticket Bus Tour on May 4th, 5th, and 6th. QuiltShoppeOnline.com is coordinating this three day bus trip that will travel through Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. The yearly bus trip has always been popular, and everyone always has a great time checking out the current quilting trends in other areas of the Midwest, along with meeting new people who share a love of fabrics and quilting. The trip includes transportation and lodging, along with all meals and a wine and margarita hour upon arrival at your hotels in the evening.

The quilt shops participating in the bus trip are:
